An Elopement in the Scottish Highlands
10 July 2024 — Weddings
Some couples want the grand celebration, and that's beautiful. Claire and Ross wanted something else entirely. They wanted windswept hair and wild flowers, the sound of waves and the smell of peat smoke. They wanted to stand on a clifftop and promise each other everything, with only the mountains as witnesses.
Why Elope?
Elopements aren't about running away from something. They're about running towards what matters most. For Claire and Ross, that was simplicity, intimacy, and the landscape they both love. No seating plan, no speeches, no stress. Just love in its purest form.

We spent the day exploring the coast together. They exchanged vows on a headland overlooking the Atlantic, then we walked to a tiny pub for fish and chips and champagne. It was, without question, one of the most moving days I've ever photographed.
