Claire and Ross on the shoreline with the castle ruins behind them

Claire & Ross

Crear, Argyll, Scottish Highlands — Summer 2024

Claire and Ross chose Crear for its wild beauty, a place where the mountains meet the sea on Scotland's west coast. They wanted a wedding that felt like a gathering of their favourite people in their favourite landscape, with good food, good music, and no fuss.

The morning started slowly. Claire got ready overlooking the water, sea glass and wild thistles woven into her bouquet. Ross spent the morning with his best man, skipping stones on the beach and trying to tie his tie. The ceremony was held outdoors, the sound of waves underneath their vows.

As the sun dropped low over the Atlantic, they danced barefoot on the grass. The night ended around a bonfire, wrapped in blankets, with someone playing guitar. It was wild and warm and entirely theirs.
